How to Create a Channel

Creating a channel keeps everyone on the same page. It's a space to talk, share updates, and track decisions — all focused on a specific job.

When to Start a Channel

Start a new channel if:

  • You're working with a team on a job opening
  • A candidate is moving through the process
  • You want a space to document discussions separate from 1:1 messages

How to Create a Channel

  1. Click + New at the top of the sidebar.
  2. Choose Channel from the menu.
  3. Fill in the channel name and the job it's related to.
  4. Hit Create — you're done!

The channel will show up under the job. Everyone involved will be able to jump in and collaborate right away.

Configure Channel Settings

That’s how to set up a channel the right way:

  1. Channel Name — Required. Suggest using clear, concise titles (e.g. "Final Review").

  2. Related Job — Required. Connect the channel to an active job listing.

  3. Safety Filter —  Optional. Blocks messages with harmful or violent language

That’s it. You’ve got a clean space to talk and move things forward.
